ONGOING COMMITMENT
As a first term board member, I have applied common sense, parental experience, and professional expertise to decision making that improves our academic and extracurricular outcomes. I’ve advocated relentlessly for improved policy regarding student safety, access to adequate facilities for extracurriculars, and necessary changes to existing curriculum. I do the research and seek best solutions for optimal outcomes.
I have first-hand and long-term knowledge of the LCUSD journey from TK to elementary to middle school transitions and from college application seasons to high school graduation. I have witnessed, through my own children, the impact of LCUSD’s outstanding preparation of our sons beyond LCUSD. While LCUSD excels at meeting the needs of many on similar paths, I am aware that we have work to do to support those students who experience our schools with diverse perspectives and goals. I remain committed to excellence and collaboration while planning, problem solving, and seeking input from all education partners. The cooperation between schools, parents, and the community with the shared goal of meeting the needs of ALL students within LCUSD have contributed to the making of an uncommon and extraordinary school district.
